Privacy
We use information to operate this website, provide book access in the Deep Ark Codex, and send the Black Book news you choose to receive. For privacy questions or requests, contact contact@deepark.games.
Visiting the website
The public website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Hosting and security services process technical request information, such as your IP address and browser details, to serve pages and protect the service. Artwork and fonts may be loaded from their respective providers. Google Fonts is used for typography.
The Black Book Society
Our signup form sends the email address you enter to Brevo, our mailing service. Signup uses double opt-in: check your email and confirm before expecting newsletter delivery. The newsletter covers Black Book launches, development previews, and backer news, including Settlements & Wild Places. You can unsubscribe using the link in a newsletter.
Google reCAPTCHA helps protect the signup form from automated abuse and may process technical browser information. Its Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply to that service.
Your Codex profile and private work
Codex uses Supabase for authentication, book-access verification, protected content, and private saved features. Account and entitlement information determines which books and benefits you can use. Notes, Collections, and your ingredient shelf are associated with your profile. Administration access is restricted; owning a book does not grant administration rights.
Codex uses browser storage for session and content caching. Sign out when using a shared device, and use your browser's site-data controls if you also want to remove local data. Your saved private work is associated with your account rather than the newsletter.
Book purchases and delivery
Kickstarter and DriveThruRPG are separate services. When you follow their links, their privacy and account terms apply. Your linked email and reward information are used to reconcile book access and fulfillment. Changing an email or a reward requires verification; names alone are not used to merge accounts.
Usage reporting
Website controls include basic interaction-event hooks, such as opening a book page. Those hooks do not by themselves establish that an external analytics service is collecting events. We do not include account emails, authentication tokens, private codes, private notes, or Codex search text in these event hooks. Any additional reporting integration will be described here when enabled.
Questions and requests
Contact us to ask about access, correction, or removal of your account information. Some records may need to be retained to reconcile purchases or meet applicable requirements. Unsubscribing from the newsletter does not remove book ownership or delete your Codex account.
